Yellowstone: Cole Hauser's Wife is The 90s TV Star You Totally Forgot About

Cole Hauser has had several major roles in film and TV over the years. But recently he's probably best known for his portrayal of Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone. His character, who serves as John Dutton's right-hand man, has built up something of a following with fans of the show. And this has led to a surge in interest in the man behind Rip.

And those who have Googled the Santa Barbara-born actor will have discovered that his wife Cynthia has some acting credits of her own.

It's in the family

Her most recent screen appearance was in 2022. She played Bianca in an episode of That 80s Show and also appeared in the film Cheaper by the Dozen. But her most famous role came in the 90s in the popular teen drama Sweet Valley High.

Now mainly a photographer, Cynthia Hauser (née Daniel) starred as Elizabeth 'Liz' Wakefield alongside her twin sister, who played Jess.

Twins on and off screen

The sisters had their first moment in the spotlight when they began modelling at the age of 11. They appeared in various publications and advertisements, but their big break came when they landed the roles of the Sweet Valley High twins.

Fans of the show will remember that the two girls had very different personalities. Liz (Cynthia) was the more sensible of the two and typically focused on her schoolwork, while Jess was a little more outgoing and apt to forge her own path in life.

They spent four years on Sweet Valley High, appearing in 88 episodes of the hit show. They also starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Basketball Diaries. In 1995, they won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance.

However, neither of them went on to have the full-time career in the entertainment industry that many had predicted for them. Brittany appeared in a number of films in the noughties - and she made it into Cheaper by the Dozen with her sister in 2022. She's also made several TV appearances over the years.

Married bliss for Cynthia and Cole

As for Cynthia, she's been happily married to Yellowstone's Cole Hauser for 20 years. They have three children between the ages of 10 and 18. In addition to her work in photography, Cynthia is a stay-at-home mom.
