It looks like fans should prepare to say goodbye to their beloved captain.

Bravo's reality show about a crew working aboard a luxury superyacht during a busy charter season has been a huge success on the channel for almost a decade, and in all that time, there has been one man always in front of the camera — Captain Lee Rosbach.

This old-fashioned sailor has been part of Below Deck since its very first season, and viewers have admired Lee for trying to make his crew feel secure and in control at all times. But it looks like, amid health issues, Captain Lee will be leaving the show before the release of season 11, even if he himself denied that earlier on his Twitter.

Insider information has revealed that Bravo is currently filming a special episode of Watch What Happens Live celebrating Captain Lee's career, which will serve as a farewell to his work on Below Deck.

The episode will be titled "10 Years of Captain Lee" and offer a look back at the decade of the captain's on-air work.

Of course, most of the fans are lamenting the occasion, but some argue that Captain Lee is leaving at the most opportune time. Although he has been the face of the franchise since its inception, Lee's old-school tactics began to seem a little dated by season 10 of the main show, while the younger captains from the spin-offs proved that age is not the most important characteristic for a successful captain.

People believe that Below Deck should look to the future, not the past, so it would be inappropriate to force Captain Lee to run the show even in the face of his health problems.

After all, the beloved captain will certainly continue to support the franchise and appear at the future reunions, and some fans even speculate that Lee may stir up the upcoming 11th season by showing up on the series as one of the guests.

To many fans' dismay, the captain's replacement has already been confirmed: Captain Kerry Titheradge of Below Deck Adventure will host the franchise's main show in the future.
