Eloise Bridgerton's fans believe that the TV show has given her a better romantic option than the one written in the books.

Season 2 of Bridgerton introduced the new character who became a big part of Eloise Bridgerton's arc. In her search for the true identity of Lady Whistledown, Eloise came to a print shop where the popular gossip column was printed and met a printer's apprentice, Theo Sharpe.

Though a member of the working class, Theo turned out to be a highly intellectual man who fought for women's rights and justice.

Although he and Eloise began their acquaintance with banter, they soon realized they had a lot in common and their relationship developed into a true friendship.

The two had a palpable chemistry and were definitely romantically interested in each other, which was not lost on the show's fandom. Fans began to ship the two, calling their pairing Theloise.

To many viewers, they seemed perfect together. Theo was a challenge for Eloise, who had never met anyone like him before. But that drew out her potential and created opportunities for character growth. They stood for the same things, and Theo not only let Eloise speak her mind, but encouraged her to do so.

Unfortunately, the relationship didn't go beyond platonic affection and ended tragically when the Queen accused Eloise of being Lady Whistledown and the real gossip writer Penelope Featherington, who wanted to protect Eloise from the Queen's wrath, made her visits to the print shop public.

This changed the Queen's mind, but also made Eloise a pariah in the town and broke her connection with Theo.

Now, fans are hoping that Eloise's first crush is not over and that Theo will appear in Season 3. Some fans even noted that Theo would be a better partner for Eloise than her book love interest and husband, Sir Phillip Crane. Viewers saw him as Marina Thompson's husband, and many found him boring and disappointing.

Of course, as the show progresses, Marina dies and both Eloise and Phillip grow as characters, the fandom's preferences may change.

But for now, fans would much rather see the development of the Theloise relationship. Some even hope that the writers, who have already changed many details from the books, will find the "rich girl falls for poor guy" trope more appealing than the love story with a widower.
