Seacrest's schedule is about to get even busier.

There is no doubt that Ryan Seacrest is one of the hardest working men on American television, seeing how this comedian, host and presenter has seemingly been working seven days a week for the last decade or so, hosting American Idol and doing a million other gigs.

And now, it has been announced that Seacrest will be taking over from the legendary Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune and appearing alongside Vanna White to continue the legacy of the beloved game show. While this move will certainly make Seacrest's career even more lucrative, fans wonder how the host will manage to continue working on American Idol with such a busy schedule.

Given that both American Idol and Wheel of Fortune air their seasons once a year, it looks like Seacrest will have plenty of time to film both shows, with Wheel of Fortune most certainly being produced in advance.

‘Wheel of Fortune [films] full season within 3 to 4 months in advance... it would still give Ryan the chance to remain with Idol during the off times from Wheel,’ a fan argued.

However, American Idol is a very demanding show, and the fact that Seacrest will be spending much less time behind the scenes may mean that future seasons of American Idol will lack the quality that fans have come to expect from it.

Of course, Seacrest has a contract that demands that he keep hosting American Idol, so he can't just leave on a whim. But then again, he probably wouldn't leave American Idol even if he had no legal obligation to stay on because he makes $17 million per season on it, which is a truly astronomical amount even by today's standards. So even in the unlikely event that Wheel of Fortune producers offered him the same money, Seacrest would much rather double his income than leave American Idol.

Seacrest's representatives and American Idol producers have yet to comment on the host's involvement in future seasons, but a fan noted an important clue in Seacrest's Instagram responses.

‘He replied to someone on Instagram that he will continue hosting Idol,’ the fan pointed out.
