Will Prime Renew The Lost Flowers Of Alice Hart For Season 2?
Will it be possible to return to Thornfield Flower Farm?
One of the most well-written, superbly acted, and beautifully filmed dramas of recent years, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, based on a novel by Australian author Holly Ringland, is now available on Prime Video. Besides the mysterious plot unveiling the Hart family secrets and the stunning Australian scenery, the series outshines other releases thanks to the amazing powerhouse duo of Sigourney Weaver and Alycia Debnam-Carey.
The show has been incredibly well-received by both viewers and critics, with ratings going up with every new episode. However, with such high scores and only one episode remaining, the logical question now is whether we can expect a renewal for Season 2.
Were There Any Announcements?
Even though the final episode is on the horizon, Amazon Studios hasn't made any announcements. Regrettably, those enthralled by the beautiful Thornfield and its language of flowers, which communicates more than mere words, should temper their expectations. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, adapted from the eponymous best-selling novel, was initially conceived as a seven-episode miniseries.

What About The Plot?
Spoilers ahead!
Does the ending leave room for speculation regarding the protagonist's future?
In the novel's finale, Alice returns to Thornfield from the desert town of Agnes Bluff, only to discover her grandmother passed away from a heart attack. Yet, the secrets that have haunted her have now been revealed: she learns why her parents left the farm and that her brother, Charlie, survived the fire. She reunites with Charlie and chooses to stay in Thornfield with him.
The conclusion is poignant, emphasising the belief that people make their own destinies and we shouldn't allow past traumas to control our lives. The story feels complete, with no hints of a sequel.
Are There Still Any Prospects?
Nonetheless, it isn't rare for hit shows to get renewed despite the absence of additional source material. Given its stellar ratings, Prime might consider doing just that. The crucial factor would be Holly Ringland's involvement, possibly providing an outline for subsequent storylines. However, anticipating that in the near future might be premature as the author is engrossed in her new book, The Seven Skins of Esther Wilding.
The final episode of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart will premiere on Prime Video tomorrow, 1 September.
