Might the fate of the central couple from Bridgerton's first season — an abrupt disappearance — befall Kanthony in subsequent seasons?

Each season of Bridgerton is based on a distinct novel by Julia Quinn, each focusing on the romantic pursuits of one of the eight Bridgerton siblings. Thus far, we have savoured the narratives of Daphne and Anthony. Now, Colin and his friends-to-lovers romance with Penelope Featherington take centre stage. However, ardent Bridgerton fans are reluctant to bid farewell to the primary couple from the previous season.

Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton, affectionately known as Kanthony, wove a compelling love story replete with tangible sexual tension, tender glances, touching dialogues, and a fair share of trials they had to surmount to finally be together. But was that their final curtain? Will we witness more of Kanthony's happily ever after?

A significant fan base believes eight episodes were insufficient to satiate their appetite for Kanthony. Beyond the primary storyline, Season 2 was brimming with subplots and secondary characters. Thus, fans are hopeful that the Kanthony arc will evolve into a subplot in the forthcoming seasons, supplying fresh content for them to indulge in.

Concerns about Kanthony's future arose due to the precedent set by the main couple of Season 1, Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, who exited the series following the conclusion of their narrative. Regé-Jean Page, who portrayed Simon, opted not to return, and Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne, only made sporadic appearances. Fortunately, such a scenario is highly unlikely for Kanthony.

Both Simone Ashley (Kate) and Jonathan Bailey (Anthony) have confirmed their participation in future seasons. Even when not the central figure, Anthony remains pivotal in the Bridgerton universe. As the Viscount Bridgerton and the head of the household, he is destined to play the paternal role in all his siblings' narratives.

'It’s really important to be there because obviously, [Anthony’s] the older bro,' the actor told TheWrap when discussing Season 3.

Moreover, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Bailey dropped hints that the series will delve into Kanthony's married life and its accompanying ups and downs.

'I know they will work as a unit, and I know [Anthony will] be completely devoted to [Kate], so I’m excited to see that and to explore,' he remarked.

When questioned about the comparatively tame scenes in Season 2, Bailey acknowledged that it was a deliberate creative decision but suggested this may change in future episodes, much to fans' delight.

'We might not be clothed at all the whole season!' he said, sending the fan base into a frenzy.

Bridgerverse viewers are certainly ready for another scene starring Anthony's bare booty. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.
