Why The Mighty Nein Season 1 Episode 3 Changes Everything For Deadeye
The Mighty Nein roars onto Prime Video with a three-episode drop on November 19, 2025, and by episode 3 delivers a gut punch: Deadeye is murdered over a secret that could upend the entire story, in this animated adaptation of Critical Role’s second D&D campaign from Critical Role Productions and Titmouse.
Prime Video dropped the first three episodes of The Mighty Nein on November 19, 2025, and episode 3 wastes no time tossing a grenade into the plot. Yes, Deadeye gets taken off the board, and it is very much about the intel he was carrying. Here is what actually happened, who is making this thing, and when episode 4 lands.
The show, the people, the voices
This is the animated adaptation of Critical Role's second D&D campaign, built by Critical Role Productions with Titmouse and Amazon MGM Studios. Tasha Huo is running the show, and the original table is back in the booth: Laura Bailey, Liam O'Brien, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham, with Matthew Mercer in the mix too. If you know the campaign, you know the vibe.
Episode 3: Did Deadeye make it out alive?
Short answer: no. Longer answer: Beau trudges to a carnival on foot because Caleb and Nott stole her horse and left her in the dust. She is there for a reason, though. Dairon sent her to meet an informant named Deadeye who supposedly has a lead that could help bring down the Volstruckers. So Beau waits exactly where she was told to wait.
Then, classic Mighty Nein chaos. Molly barges in, gets suspicious, and distracts Beau at exactly the wrong time. She shoves past him and tails the guy she thinks is Deadeye. She is right.
They duck into a closet where Deadeye, nervous and jumpy, hands Beau a small magical orb. Inside is a clue pointing toward a traitor inside the Dwendalian Empire. The catch: only Dairon can properly decode it. Translation: Beau needs to get this thing back, quietly and in one piece.
Deadeye walks home alone after the handoff, but he is not actually alone. Owelia has been shadowing him, desperate to find out what was in that orb. She confronts him, pushes for answers, and in the struggle ends up killing him. The intel is out of his hands and in Beau's pack, but the body count just went up.
