Why Do Taylor Swift Fans Think Joe Alwyn Cheated on the Singer?
Swifties are accusing the singer's ex-lover Alwyn of something terrible.
The news of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn's split took the world by surprise last month, and while Taylor has already moved on and is currently dating The 1975's singer Matty Healy, her fans are still obsessing over it and trying to understand why the two stars decided to break up.
Having been together for more than six years, it looks like Alwyn and Swift simply overgrew each other, but some people are sure that there was another, more appalling reason to why the artists called it quits.
Joe Alwyn recently finished filming his latest movie, The Brutalist, and some fans believe the actor might have cheated on Swift with his co-star Emma Laird. The cheating theory spread after Laird, who is one of the world's most promising up-and-coming actresses right now, posted a photo on her Instagram with Alwyn riding an electric scooter.
While nothing has been proven or confirmed by Alwyn, Swift, or Laird, people are already accusing the young star of being a homewrecker, while others are defending her, arguing that her private life has nothing to do with anyone.
The cheating version certainly explains why Taylor Swift's friends Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and Ryan Gosling suddenly unfollowed Alwyn. However, it looks like some sources close to the stars are completely against this theory, arguing that their split was just a matter of personal collisions after Alwyn discovered how extremely famous his girlfriend was.
According to the sources, Joe was simply unable to support Taylor in the preparations for her Eras tour, which really harmed their relationship and forced the singer to break up with him.
While this version is also just a theory, at least some of the whistleblowers confirm it, while the cheating allegations are only being spread by fans who obviously don't know the whole picture.
Unfortunately, it looks like Taylor Swift is not ready to share the full story of her breakup with Joe Alwyn. However, even if the cheating actually took place, the pop star probably wouldn't support people insulting Emma Laird in the comments, as it's simply unethical and creates a bad image for all the parties involved.
