A Brand-New Character to Debut in Season 6

The highly anticipated sixth season of Virgin River has been filming since the end of February and is unlikely to premiere in the coming months, but that doesn't mean fans can't get excited about their favorite show. Just recently, it was announced that Rachel Drance has been cast for Season 6 of Netflix's hit romantic drama.

The actress will play a brand new character named Marley Thurston, who will appear in at least one episode of the sixth installment. It's unclear who this character is and what role she'll play in the overall plot of Virgin River. But theories abound.

Marley could be a friend of Lizzie's who comes to support her best friend during her pregnancy. Thurston could also be one of the several unnamed children of the late Lilly Anderson who will come to Virgin River to help raise Chloe. Or maybe Marley is somehow related to Mel through her newfound father, Everett Reid.

Rachel Drance is a lesser known Canadian actress who is just starting to appear on the Hollywood radar. However, she has a number of notable projects in her acting portfolio.

Over the years, Rachel Drance has voiced a number of Barbie cartoons and starred in the CBS suspense drama Salvation. In addition, the actress has made regular appearances in seasons 1 and 3 of Hulu's The Hardy Boys and seasons 8 and 9 of The CW's The Flash.
