This is the kind of bowl you throw together when you want breakfast in five minutes or a mellow, no-cook dinner that still feels like you tried. Cool, bright, and yes, actually good for you. It is loaded with vitamins, plays nicely with a balanced diet, and kids and adults both polish it off without a fight. Bonus: everything here is supermarket-basic.
What you need
- Banana - 1 pc (about 120 g)
- Apple - 1 pc (about 150 g)
- Pear - 1 pc (about 150 g)
- Orange - 1 pc (about 200 g)
- Seedless grapes - 100 g
- Plain unsweetened yogurt - 150 ml
- Honey - 1 tbsp (optional)
- Ground cinnamon - a pinch (optional)
- Fresh mint - a few leaves for garnish
How to make it
Prep the fruit: Peel the banana and slice it into rounds. Rinse the apple and pear, core them, and cut into small cubes. To keep those pieces from browning, squeeze a little juice from the orange over them. Peel the orange, strip off the white pith, separate into segments, and halve any large ones. Leave the grapes whole, or halve them if they are on the chunky side.
Combine and sweeten: In a large bowl, gently fold together all the prepped fruit. If you are using honey, warm it just until fluid and drizzle it over for a softer, rounder sweetness. Add a pinch of cinnamon if you like a warm aroma. Toss carefully so the fruit stays in neat pieces.
Finish with yogurt: Pour in the plain yogurt (150 ml) and fold until everything is lightly coated. The yogurt pulls the flavors together and gives the salad a clean, creamy base without extra sugar.
Serve it right: Spoon into small bowls or clear glasses. Top with fresh mint leaves and a couple of orange pieces. Bring it to the table immediately so the fruit stays crisp and juicy. If you want it extra refreshing for a hot day, chill the salad for 10-15 minutes before serving.
