Where Are They Now? See The Hanson Trio 30 Years Later
In the late 1990s, everyone was singing along to Hanson's catchy tune, MMMBop!
The pleasant voices of the Oklahoma-born brothers who made up the band were just as memorable as their pretty faces. While the older siblings, Isaac and Taylor, had the lion's share of admirers, the youngest of the three, the cheerful Zac, also attracted plenty of attention.
The band was formed in 1992 when Isaac was 11, Taylor was 9, and Zac was just 6.
Hanson achieved worldwide fame in 1997 with the release of their third album, Middle of Nowhere. It got multiple Grammy nominations and sold millions of copies worldwide. Overnight, the Hanson brothers became wealthy youths with mature issues to contend with – they had to work tirelessly and fend off the constant attention from female fans.
Their insane popularity peaked in the late 1990s and the early 2000s. The band's success gradually waned, and although the brothers continued to write and record songs, none of their later output ever came close to MMMbop in popularity.
Nevertheless, when they toured as a band, they were always given a warm welcome by audiences and tickets to their performances sold well. The two older brothers married female fans, with the handsome Taylor and baby Zac tying the knot before Isaac.
Taylor and his wife Natalie have seven children; Isaac and Nicole have three, while Zac and Kathryn have five. The Hanson brothers are clearly into family life.
The band officially broke up in 2017, with the brothers embarking on solo careers, none of which panned out. Yet, the Hanson brothers seem perfectly content with leading quiet family lives. All three continue to write music and produce for other musicians. They also support charity initiatives. And, naturally, they spend a lot of time with their families and kids!
The Hanson brothers frequently reunite for joint TV appearances, singing their classic tunes to the delight of audiences. Last year, they celebrated the band's 30th anniversary by releasing a full-length album as a band, titled Red Green Blue. Naturally, the music they write now differs from the music that catapulted them to superstardom in the late 1990s. Nonetheless, fans have noted that the new tracks have the same inviting and comfortable energy that Isaac, Taylor, and Zac have always been loved for.
