When Will And Just Like That... Season 3 Premiere?

Although it's been a month since the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes ended, they continue to affect the film and television industry, as most of our favorite shows are still scheduled to premiere in the coming months. The strikes, which took place throughout the summer, were the largest in years and seemed to bring Hollywood to a standstill. Still, there were releases for audiences to enjoy.
Season 2 of And Just Like That..., a sequel to the iconic HBO show Sex and the City, was definitely one of the most anticipated releases of the summer. Premiering at the end of June, the second installment brought joy to hordes of SATC fans until the end of August, when episode 11, featuring a cameo by franchise star Kim Cattrall, dropped. Naturally, viewers are most excited about the future of AJLT and looking forward to Season 3.
And Just Like That… Season 3 Release Window
Shortly after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended, the networks resumed their major productions, with CBS' Young Sheldon and Ghosts and NBC's Chicago Fire and Law & Order returning in early 2024. As for streaming services like Max, it also announced that its major series The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Euphoria and, of course, And Just Like That... were in the works.
However, the streaming service's productions in question won't be released anytime soon, as they were the hardest hit by the writers' and actors' strikes. As a result, And Just Like That... reportedly doesn't have a finished script and, logically, hasn't started filming yet. According to Max's latest teaser, the SATC spin-off will premiere in 2025.
AJLT's Running History
Remarkably, it's pretty normal for And Just Like That... to have such huge gaps between seasons. When it debuted at the end of 2021, it was supposed to be a miniseries. However, it was later renewed for a second season, despite the fact that many SATC fans found it controversial and mediocre.
Season 2 of And Just Like That... was released only a year and a half after the first one and proved to be more popular with the audience, who appreciated the cameo of the Samantha actress very much. Apparently, it will take another year and a half for Max to cook up and release the third installment, which is a long wait, but somehow a good thing because it shows a certain regularity.
