When to Watch Yellowstone Season 1 Finale on CBS: Dates & Release Schedule
There are only a few episodes left to air in this season.
This year hasn't been the best for TV. While the first half of 2023 saw a plethora of top-tier releases, including Silo, season 3 of Ted Lasso, and season 2 of And Just Like That…, the other half isn't replete with premieres. The reason is plain and simple – the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes resulted in many beloved projects being delayed indefinitely.
Consequently, such TV giants as NCIS, Young Sheldon, and Yellowstone won't be returning to the small screen this fall. Fortunately, there are enough episodes to re-run the shows. For example, CBS began airing the first season of Yellowstone in September. Now, the installment is drawing near its end.
Yellowstone Season 1
Premiering on Paramount Network in 2018, Yellowstone introduced the Dutton family to the audience that fell in love with the characters at the first sight. Intense yet quaintly comfortable, the show captivated viewers with its dramatic turns of events, love stories, and family chaos. Naturally, people were eager to see more.
Starring Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and many other beloved actors, Yellowstone became an instant hit that rekindled viewers' interest in Westerns. Furthermore, it modernized the rusty genre that many people found outdated. In other words, Yellowstone proved that a Western show could be popular with contemporary audiences.
To this day, the first season of Taylor Sheridan's show remains one of the best, as it has all the elements that resonate with fans - family drama, fighting for one's legacy, and complicated love arcs. With that in mind, it's no surprise that CBS picked it up.
CBS Programming Schedule
Having debuted on CBS on September 17th, the first season of Yellowstone has almost run its course. At the moment, there are only three episodes to go before the end of this installment. Here's when to watch them.
15th October – Episodes 7 and 8: A Monster Is Among Us, The Unravelling Part 1
22d October – Episode 9: The Unravelling Part 2
There's no word yet if CBS will pick up Season 2 of Yellowstone after this, but it would certainly be a nice way to warm up the audience for the second half of Season 5 while it's in production.
