The popular actor remains with Hallmark.

Given the popularity of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, it's only natural that the network would seek to leverage this success by inviting actors from the period romance to star in other projects. Fortunately, it looks like Chris McNally, best known for his role as Lucas Bouchard on WCTH, has finally been contracted to star in a Hallmark TV movie, an opportunity fans have been looking forward to for years.

Furthermore, McNally won't be starring in another cookie-cutter Christmas-themed film of the variety Hallmark is most famous for. Instead, he's been cast in a far more original and even groundbreaking movie for the channel - 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost.

Unusual Premise

As you might infer, the movie is set during the Halloween season, a holiday Hallmark has largely overlooked, opting instead to focus on Christmas. Fortunately, it seems both Halloween and McNally will finally receive their due recognition, as the recently released movie already appears to be one of the most thrilling films Hallmark has put out in a long while.

The film revolves around real estate agent Anna, portrayed by Julie Gonzalzo, who discovers a real ghost haunting a house she's trying to sell. With a touch of the supernatural and a classic love story between Anna and her ex-fiancé Elliot, played by McNally, the film is bound to create a buzz among Hallmark fans.

Great Chemistry

While McNally is undoubtedly a talented actor, his performance in 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost is already being hailed as superior to his portrayal of Lucas in When Calls the Heart, and here's why.

The fact is, McNally and Gonzalzo are partners in real life and even have a child together, which means that their on-screen chemistry is as real as it gets.

Fans of the actors are already praising Hallmark for not only providing McNally with an opportunity to shine but also for casting him alongside his partner, making the entire movie seem even more engaging than initially anticipated.
