HBO Max packs the week of November 24–30 with fresh arrivals, led by Lionsgate’s Flight Risk touching down Wednesday, November 26 — a Mel Gibson–directed thriller about a U.S. Marshal on a high-stakes escort — alongside the family romp Krypto Saves the Day: Package Pandemonium.

Max is loading up the week after Thanksgiving with a high-altitude thriller, a super-dog delivery disaster, a true-crime drop, and a holiday rom-com with a premise that made me do a double take. Here is what is landing.

The week at a glance: Nov 24–30, 2025

  • Wednesday, Nov 26: Flight Risk (Lionsgate)
  • Friday, Nov 28: Krypto Saves the Day: Package Pandemonium (DCU)
  • Friday, Nov 28: Obsession: The Murder of a Beauty Queen (HBO Original)
  • Sunday, Nov 30: OWN for the Holidays Movie: Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (OWN)

Flight Risk hits midweek

Mel Gibson directs this one from a script by Jared Rosenberg, and the setup is clean: a U.S. Marshal is escorting a government witness to testify against a mob boss. The wrinkle is the pilot flying them is actually a hired assassin. Once that becomes clear, things go sideways fast. After the Marshal and witness deal with the killer in the cockpit, they are stuck trying to keep the plane in the air while dodging more hitmen sent to finish the job.

The cast is stacked for a lean thriller: Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, and Topher Grace lead, with Maaz Ali, Leah Remini, Paul Ben Victor, Eilise Patton, Savanah Joeckel, and Monib Abhat supporting.

Krypto Saves the Day: Package Pandemonium lands Friday

This is episode three of the animated series Krypto Saves the Day under the DC Universe banner. If you need a refresher: Krypto is Superman's dog, he is very good at being heroic, and in this one he is dealing with a delivery gone haywire. Expect bright, kid-friendly chaos with cape energy.

Also dropping Friday: a new HBO Original true-crime title

Obsession: The Murder of a Beauty Queen arrives the same day. The title tells you the lane this one is in: true-crime, HBO Original. Details are being kept tidy, but it is slotted as part of the weekly batch.

Sunday goes full holiday movie with Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

This OWN for the Holidays entry stars Kiki Layne and Etienne Maurice and centers on Maya, a reserved professor who pretends to be in a relationship with a stranger who is, at that moment, unconscious. Yes, you read that right. She gets pulled into his family’s holiday plans, which is already a minefield, and then the doctor treating the stranger turns out to be Maya’s ex. Complications ensue, obviously.
