- Lawrence is baffled by all the rumors that she has had plastic surgery.
It was a fruitful year for the movie industry with such giants as Barbie, Oppenheimer, Fast X and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One have dominated the scene and made billions of dollars at the box office. In addition, and despite the strikes, 2023 has been productive for many actors. Jennifer Lawrence, for example.
Although the star of The Hunger Games franchise is in no way involved in the latest release in the series, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, she's had a busy year on her own. First and foremost, Lawrence celebrated her thirty-third birthday in August. Then she's been busy caring for her son, Cy, who she gave birth to in February 2022. But the actress still found time to star in and produce one of the best comedies of 2023 – No Hard Feelings.
'Pretty. Awkward'
Released in June, No Hard Feelings follows Lawrence's character, a thirty-something woman in debt who drives an Uber for a living and has her car repossessed by the bank until she pays off the debt on the house her mother left her. As she struggles to stay afloat, she takes on a dubious enterprise: a rich family hires a woman to help their reclusive teenage son come out of his shell. Naturally, hilarity ensues.
But No Hard Feelings isn't just a silly, somewhat raunchy comedy. It explores a moving, heartfelt story. It also features a full-frontal nude scene by Jennifer Lawrence, whose physique is nothing short of stunning. And you'll be surprised that the actress doesn't resort to plastic surgery to maintain her appearance.
The Magic of Makeup
Recently, Jennifer Lawrence opened up about her beauty secrets and denied all rumors about having surgery.
'I also think it's incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo, a makeup artist], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I've been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,' the actress said in an interview. 'I didn't have eye surgery. I'm doing makeup.'
Ultimately, Lawrence said that people need to learn to accept the natural changes that actors go through over the course of their lives. After all, we all grow up, age and change physically.
'I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I'm 19 to 30, and I'm like, "I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I'm aging." Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I'm like, "I've had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up,"' Jennifer Lawrence shared.
Apparently, makeup is all the magic you need to spruce up your looks – that's all Lawrence has to say about it.
