VisionQuest Trailer Teases Marvel's Boldest Spin-Off Yet

Marvel lit up New York Comic Con with the first trailer for VisionQuest, the WandaVision spin-off from creator Terry Matalas that brings Paul Bettany back as Vision. Also known as Vision Quest, the Disney+ series arrives next year, with the debut footage teasing the synthezoid’s next chapter.
Marvel hauled the first VisionQuest footage to New York Comic Con, and while the trailer isn’t online, the description that leaked out paints a pretty wild picture. This is the WandaVision spin-off from creator Terry Matalas, with Paul Bettany back as Vision, landing on Disney+ in 2026.
So what’s in the trailer?
Per Variety’s rundown, Bettany is back in two flavors: the White Vision we last saw at the end of WandaVision and a more regular, human-looking version. The sizzle opens with him approaching a stark white mansion, where he’s greeted by human ‘servants’ who aren’t people at all — they’re physical incarnations of Stark-era AIs: Jarvis, Friday, and Edith.
If you need a quick refresher: Jarvis was Tony Stark’s original AI that ultimately evolved into Vision; Friday replaced Jarvis and helped both Stark and Spider-Man; Edith is the glasses-based AI from Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here, the trailer reframes them as human avatars, which is a neat (and very nerdy) twist.
Also popping up: a human version of Ultron, with James Spader back in the mix. He voiced Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the idea of Ultron walking around in a human body is exactly the kind of unsettling flex this show seems interested in. The tag at the end shows an adult Tommy — that’s Thomas Shepherd, Vision and Wanda’s son who was a kid in WandaVision — suggesting we’re not done with the family thread just yet.
Where this fits in the MCU
The project was described as the third part of a trilogy that includes WandaVision and Agatha All Along. So yes, Marvel is framing these shows as one continuous arc: love, grief, magic, and now sentient tech literally taking shape. The mansion full of personified AIs makes it feel like Vision is trying to rebuild a life using the digital ghosts Tony left behind. Weird in a good way.

The basics
VisionQuest — sometimes listed as Vision Quest — is a Marvel Television series for Disney+, created by Terry Matalas and headlined by Paul Bettany. It’s set to premiere in 2026, but there’s no exact date yet. The trailer’s still under wraps, so for now we’re living off descriptions, but the premise sounds like classic Vision: identity, memory, found family, and a bunch of familiar AIs stepping into the real world. If Marvel sticks the landing, this could be the most interesting follow-up to WandaVision yet.
