Vision Quest Leak Reveals Ultron's Return—And It's Just the Beginning

Apparently, dying once (or twice) in the MCU means absolutely nothing — because Ultron is now rumored to be making a big comeback. Not just in Vision Quest, but in multiple upcoming Marvel projects.
According to leaker Daniel Richtman, James Spader isn't just returning as Ultron for the long-delayed Vision Quest series — he may be sticking around for a while. The report doesn't give a list of titles, or even a number of appearances, but it strongly hints that Marvel's favorite evil robot is getting a long-term contract.
Vision Quest has been in limbo for years, despite the massive success of WandaVision. The new series won't follow the red-caped, fan-favorite Vision. Instead, it centers on White Vision — the emotionless, data-driven version we last saw flying off at the end of WandaVision and then... never again.
James Spader's return was already big news, but now there's another twist: in Vision Quest, Ultron will reportedly appear in human form. Marvel hasn't confirmed the details, but this would mirror a bizarre comic arc where Ultron merges with Hank Pym's body and walks around like a smug murder dad. In the MCU, Tony Stark created Ultron — so it's unclear how they'll adapt that part, but they're clearly leaning into the "creepy android with a human face" angle.
Spader isn't the only familiar face popping up in Vision Quest. Faran Tahir is also back as Raza, the warlord from Iron Man (yes, that far back), and the cast includes Emily Hampshire, Todd Stashwick, and Ruaridh Mollica in unknown roles.
As for when it's coming out? No date yet. Marvel's saying 2026, but given how long this thing's been stuck in development, nobody's holding their breath.
