Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Endings Explained: The Choices That Shape the Night

Seattle’s nights bite back in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, where every alliance, lie, and act of mercy steers you toward one of six endings—from nightmare collapse to fragile hope and uneasy peace. Our guide breaks down each finale and the choices that unlock them.
Bloodlines 2 drops you in Seattle and lets you make a giant mess or pull off a miracle, depending on how you treat people and when you bite them. There are six endings here, and the game is pretty literal about it: some are bleak, some try for harmony, and a couple just hand the city to whoever is still standing. Below, I break down what each ending looks like and the specific choices that lock them in. A few of these hinges are very game-y, so if something feels oddly specific, that is because it is.
-
A City in Flames — The worst-case scenario. The Masquerade crashes and burns, vampire factions implode, Lou Graham and Katsumi lose their powers, and Phyre is essentially taken off the board while I.A.O. keeps hammering the city with zero chill.
How you get it: During the quest 'We Don't Do Ghost Stories', you confront Agent Baker. You can negotiate or you can bite him, but if you kill him, this ending fires immediately. No backtracking, no clever workaround, no last-minute save. You kill Baker, you get Flames.
-
A City of Anarchy — The Anarchs topple the old order and 'free' Seattle, which turns out to mean nonstop chaos. Katsumi seizes the moment, consolidates power, and knocks out the remaining factions.
How you get it: Keep a strong relationship with Katsumi, do not cozy up to rival factions, and when it comes to Agent Baker, bite him instead of killing him. Follow that line and you land on Katsumi's ending.
-
A City Most Fabulous — Michael 'Tolly' Tolliver, the Nosferatu Herald of the Seattle Camarilla, ends up on the throne after clearing the field. It is a surprising turn, but it tracks if you commit to it.
How you get it: Late in the game, choose to leave Seattle. Along the way, eliminate other contenders through your decisions — specifically characters like Kitsune and Lou. Do those two things and Tolly steps in and takes control by default.
-
A City Unchained — Phyre runs Seattle. Rival factions are wrecked, strings get pulled from the shadows, and your character is the one doing the pulling.
How you get it: Play hardball. Be openly hostile with most major players (Fabien, Baker, Lou), remove Katsumi as a rival, betray Ryong and others when it serves you, and make it clear you intend to stay in Seattle and rule. That path crowns Phyre.
-
A City Restored — The Pioneers come out on top, Lou Graham holds Seattle, and even the Camarilla order finds its footing again.
How you get it: Back Lou consistently and avoid antagonizing him. When you deal with Agent Baker, bite him. Be aggressive toward Katsumi so she is taken out of the picture. Stick to that and you land the Pioneers' win.
-
A City of Kinship — The closest thing to a happy ending. No war, no mass casualties, Masquerade intact, and the city does not get torched in the process.
How you get it: Stay neutral, be patient, and manage relationships across the board. Do not hard-side with any faction. Whenever conflict flares up, de-escalate it. Keep everyone talking and breathing, and Seattle comes out okay.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is developed by The Chinese Room and scheduled to release October 21, 2025.
