It's next to impossible to find the show's earlier seasons online.

Summary

  • Many fans are willing to watch old seasons of The Voice.
  • YouTube doesn't offer ample content.
  • There's a single small streaming service that offers earlier installments.

With Season 24 of NBC's most popular singing competition, The Voice, in full swing, fans are on their toes to see who will make it to the next round. With only one episode of Battles left, the stakes are as high as ever. But there's one thing that ruins that anticipation – waiting.

The Voice airs twice a week on NBC – Mondays and Tuesdays – meaning viewers have to wait five days for their favourite show to return with a new episode. With that in mind, it's not surprising that many people would want to watch the show's earlier instalments. Unfortunately, it seems that the previous seasons of The Voice are nowhere to be found.

YouTube Videos

Based on the Dutch show of the same name, The Voice premiered in the US in 2011 and went on to become the country's most popular singing competition, challenging the leviathan that is American Idol. Since then, it has run for twenty-four seasons, released twice a year, and featured many stars, including Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine.

Some of the performances The Voice has seen over its extensive run are available on the show's official YouTube channel. However, as a rule of thumb, only the most exciting performances make it there, so it's unlikely to satisfy your craving for the popular show.

Streaming Services

Interestingly, past seasons of The Voice aren't available on the mainstream streaming services like Netflix, Paramount+, Hulu, or even NBC's own Peacock. However, we seem to have found a platform that offers access to the fan-favorite singing competition.

After scouring the Internet, we came across a lesser-known streaming service called Flixtor. Their VIP subscribers are offered eleven of the most recent installments of The Voice, starting with season 14. No one on our team has used Flixtor before, so we recommend that you use it at your own discretion.

On the plus side, the platform offers free access to the current twenty-fourth season of The Voice, so you can catch up if you missed an episode.

Why No The Voice on Streaming Services?

This may be news to you, but every singing competition on TV has to pay royalties to musicians for the use of their songs, including covers by the contestants. So every time an episode of The Voice airs, NBC has to pay, which means that putting up earlier seasons of the show would simply run their ships aground.

As for The Voice 24, the next episode will air on November 6th.
