This emotional moment demonstrates the close-knit relationship between the cast and crew.

The final seasons of The Big Bang Theory may not have been as stellar as previous ones, but people were still watching it even after almost 12 years. During this time, we shared our lives with the Pasadena gang, sharing their highs and lows, so it was really hard to say the final goodbye when it ended.

As it turns out, it was also hard for the cast members to say goodbye to each other as they were now friends not just in the show but in real life as well. Apparently, the hardest moment for our favourite actors was not during the filming of the final scenes but during the final table read.

Initially, creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady had no intention of ending the show after twelve seasons, with plans extending far beyond. However, Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper, felt it was the right time to bid farewell to the project and move on. His decision came as a shock to the ensemble cast, and the news was genuinely heartbreaking.

The very last table read, where the cast recited lines from the final episode, including Sheldon's poignant monologue at the Nobel Prize ceremony and a friendly gathering in Leonard and Penny's apartment over Chinese takeout, brought nearly every actor to tears.

Every main cast member struggled to suppress their tears. The main theme sung by Parsons further exacerbated the situation, and before long, it was difficult to discern whether they were tears of joy or sorrow over a tough goodbye.

'Seeing these types of things give always give me renewed appreciation and respect for shows like this. Knowing how much the writers and cast and crew give their hard blood, talent, sweat, and tears into it,' a fan wrote in the comments.

It was an incredibly powerful and heartbreaking moment, but at the same time, it was sweet to see how close all the actors had grown to each other over the years.

'I love how strong Jim and Kaley's friendship is! He runs right over to her and gives her a big embrace!!' another fan wrote.

TBBT may not have been the best sitcom ever, but without a doubt, it will forever remain in our hearts as one of the best comfort shows.
