Trap House Remake: Should You Stay for a Post-Credits Scene?
Dave Bautista’s action thriller Trap House breaks into US theaters Friday — and the burning question is whether you should stick around for a mid- or post-credits stinger.
If you are heading out to see Dave Bautista's new action thriller 'Trap House' this Friday and wondering whether to park in your seat through the credits, here is the quick answer: you do not need to.
Should you stay for a mid-, post-, or end-credits scene?
Nope. 'Trap House' does not tuck anything after the credits begin. No mid-credits tag, no end-credits stinger, nothing. Once the credits roll, the story is done.
Given Bautista's Marvel history, the instinct to wait around makes sense. Teasers at the end have become a standard move for franchise films to set up the next chapter or drop a cute Easter egg. Standalone movies usually skip that. And yes, even franchise plays sometimes decide not to run a tag. This is one of those times.
But wait, is 'Trap House' meant to kick off a franchise?
Interestingly, Bautista says that was the plan from the jump, even if there is no credits stinger here. In a recent chat with MovieWeb, he laid it out pretty plainly:
"And the reason was that I set this film up to be a franchise. And I knew, moving forward, it would be all about the kids."
"This was always developed to be that. And the first film we would have to establish, you know, the kids and the relationships, but I was always one of the parents to be the backdrop, because I wanted this to be about the kids and move forward with the kids."
So the movie is built with more in mind, just not signposted in the credits. If you were holding out for a teaser, that is why it feels a little surprising.
