And some of them will actually appear on the new sitcom.
During its impressive eleven-season run, Frasier featured a plethora of memorable characters, some of whom originated on the sitcom's parent show, Cheers. Naturally, fans cherish their memories of these beloved characters and want to see them on the Frasier revival.
Here are the top seven characters that viewers are anticipating to see on the new show.
Sam Malone (Ted Danson)
The main character of Cheers, the sitcom that spawned Frasier, Sam Malone was a fan favorite long before Dr. Crane appeared on the horizon. The beloved bar owner also made an appearance on Frasier in its second season, which forever etched him in the memories of fans.
Gil Chesterton (Edward Hibbert)
Frasier's workplace nemesis, this character added luster and wit to the sitcom. Moreover, the dynamic between him and Dr. Crane was the vehicle behind the show's humor in many of its episodes. And just as Frasier dreamed of having a go with Gil, audiences are eager to get a glimpse of the character in the reboot.
Bebe Glazer (Harriet Sansom Harris)
The woman to whom Frasier almost sold his soul, Bebe was the ultimate antagonist in the original run of the sitcom, often portrayed as diabolical and Machiavellian. At the same time, the talent agent was a beloved character who brought a lot of zest to the table, which is why it's no surprise that viewers are willing to see her on the revival.
Cam Winston (Brian Stokes Mitchell)
The neighbor from the upstairs apartment was a major annoyance to the title character throughout the series. Their rivalry was the cornerstone of many episodes of the beloved sitcom and caused Dr. Crane to behave in ways that brought immense comic relief to the audience.
Roz Doyle (Peri Gilpin)
As the producer of Frasier's radio show, Roz was an integral part of the original Frasier. Most importantly, she was Dr. Crane's best friend who brought cheer to his life. Fortunately, the character is said to be making guest appearances on the revamped series.
Lilith Sternin (Bebe Neuwirth)
The femme fatale of Frasier's life and the mother of his only son, Freddie, this character had a love-hate relationship with the audience during the original run of the sitcom. Given her inextricable connection to the reboot's main characters, it comes as no surprise that Lilith will make regular appearances on the Frasier revival.
Niles Crane (David Hyde Pierce)
Dr. Crane's younger brother, Niles was the ultimate fan favorite throughout Frasier's eleven seasons. The combination of his wit, erudition and childish antics made him the show's major source of humor. Unfortunately, unlike the previous two characters, Niles has not been announced to visit his brother on the new show.
The next episode of the Frasier revival is scheduled to premiere on November 9.
