Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

The photos from the set of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story recently had Bridgerverse fans giggling. And it wasn't because of anything the cast and crew did or said, but because of the uncanny resemblance the director of the new hit miniseries bears to everyone's favorite Ant-Man, Paul Rudd. Well, his alternate version anyway.

'Tom Verica looks like Paul Rudd if Paul Rudd aged like a normal person,' user u/ckocek started the hilarious discussion on the subreddit dedicated to the Bridgerverse.

The Redditor accompanied their post with photos from Tom Verica's Instagram account. In each photo, it is impossible not to see the features of the aged Paul Rudd in the director, who just turned 59 last week. Interestingly, Rudd, who is 54, is only five years younger than Verica.

'I was literally like "wow, age finally caught up with Paul Rudd!" but I guess not,' another fan commented.

Rudd's anti-aging has long become the legend and source of endless jokes among his fans and colleagues, who have various conspiracy theories about this phenomenon, from the MCU star using Botox to being a vampire and drinking baby blood.

'Paul Rudd ages 1 year for every 5 of a normal person,' a commenter wrote in the Reddit thread.

At a reunion with his MCU co-stars, the actor himself explained that the secret to his eternal youth is simple.

'I'm 80 years old on the inside,' he said, pointing to his chest. 'In here, pure darkness — and a little moisturizer.'

Well, now that Marvel is all about the Multiverse, maybe Tom Verica will land a role as Ant-Man in some alternate universe that precedes ours in time. Not that he needs any extra work — Verica is more than busy with the wildly successful Shondaland projects he directs, produces, and sometimes stars in.
