For All Mankind

What if the space race had never ended? For All Mankind explores what would have happened if the Soviets had won the race to the moon, catalyzing a reinvigorated effort by the US to catch up. Mankind explores deeper and deeper into space, with each decade-spanning season showing how different every aspect of life would be.

The divergence point between reality and the show was the 1965 death of Sergei Korolev, father of the Soviet space program. Season 4 will release later this year.

Mythic Quest

Apple’s turn at the workplace sitcom, Mythic Quest was created by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, and Megan Ganz. It follows the developers of a popular video game - Mythic Quest - as they struggle to keep their game relevant. It just wrapped its third season this past January.

Dickinson

For fans of 19th-century poet Emily Dickinson, this may be the show for you. It follows Emily, played by rising actress Hailee Steinfeld, as she seeks to become a writer amidst her family’s desires for her to become the perfect housewife. Central Park

Apple TV isn’t known for its animated series, but Central Park has the backing of Bob’s Burgers’ creator Loren Bouchard. The musical series tells the tale of a family of caretakers who live inside New York City’s Central Park.

With the voice talents of Stanley Tucci, Leslie Odom Jr., and Josh Gad, Central Park is a hilarious show for the right audience.

WeCrashed

Telling the story of the meteoric rise and dramatic fall of WeWork (the communal workspace business), WeCrashed stars Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway as the arrogant power couple that orchestrated it. Their hubris, poor management, and lies to investors crashed a company that was worth $47 billion in 2019. Based on the podcast of the same name, WeCrashed aired its eight episodes in 2022.

Servant

Led by the master of the plot twist, M. Night Shyamalan, Servant is one of the most bizarre shows streaming today. After the devastating death of their thirteen-week-old son, Dorothy and Sean cope with their grief by getting a lifelike doll and even hiring a nanny to look after it. The mysterious young nanny begins showing supernatural abilities that only grow stronger as she stays in their home, leading to more twists and turns in the series’ four-season run.

Little America

Inspired by true stories from Epic Magazine, Little America follows the lives of immigrants who seek to achieve the American Dream. It mixes heartfelt stories with day-to-day comedy, along with the romances and the drama of everyday life for these immigrants seeking a better life. Little America’s second season dropped last December.
