A detail that will make your heart melt.

The Big Bang Theory was one of the most popular sitcoms of the 2010s, and despite the last few seasons becoming weaker in quality than the early installments, millions of fans followed the story of the Pasadena gang right until the grand finale in 2019.

And just like the huge TBBT fandom, the series' creators didn't want to say goodbye to their story and characters, so they found an ingenious way to pay homage to the very beginning of the show, making the story come full circle.

Chuck Lorre, The Big Bang Theory All-Father along with Bill Prady, recognized the importance of his project to pop culture and every fan who followed the characters for 12 years. While the writers were set to wrap up all the storylines in the show's final episode, 'The Stockholm Syndrome,' their ultimate aim was to give the audience a sense of satisfaction.

'I almost couldn't do it. I didn't really think that it would be difficult, but as soon as they put that thing in my hands, I started to choke. It was loaded with significance. It was the last take of The Big Bang Theory,' Lorre emotionally shared.

As it turns out, the creators left a little Easter Egg in the finale, which most people failed to notice while watching the episode back in 2019. While it's not the most eye-catching visual gimmick, this tiny detail made the finale all the more powerful and bittersweet for those who were able to spot it.

'I've noticed that in the very first episode, Penny is wearing a blue T-shirt with flowers on it. She's also wearing this same T-shirt in the final scene where they're all sat in Leonard's apartment after the Nobel ceremony for Sheldon and Amy,' a fan pointed out on Reddit.

Some fans saw this detail as a heartwarming reassurance that Penny was still the same Nebraska girl she was back in Season 1. Although she chose to abandon her dream of making it big in Hollywood and became a pharmaceutical sales rep, married Leonard and even got pregnant, despite saying earlier that she didn't want to have kids, it was the same Penny we met in the pilot episode, clearly enjoying her new life in her old T-shirt.

Now, doesn't that make her arc's finale so much sweeter?
