These two characters would be most welcome in Season 3.

Summary

  • Bridgerton is close to perfection, but there's a way to make the show even better.
  • There is a way to introduce a sweet tradition to the show at the beginning of each season.
  • In Season 3, this could be done in a very specific and logical way.

Bridgerton is beloved by hordes of fans from around the world for many reasons. From the period setting, albeit highly modernized, to the gorgeous costumes and polite banter, to the exciting love drama and steamy sex scenes, there's plenty to get you hooked on the show. But it's arguably the extremely likable main characters that captivate audiences the most.

The Bridgerton siblings are all very different. They have different personalities, different views and different tastes, which is why viewers fall in love with the show over and over again as each new season follows a particular Bridgerton. Season 1 focused on Daphne, season 2 on Anthony, and the upcoming third season will follow Colin, further expanding the beloved show. But as good as the Netflix drama is, there's another way to make it even more wholesome.

A Subtle Exposition Tradition

Though each season of Bridgerton focuses on one particular sibling of the titular family, that doesn't mean the rest of the family is left out of the show. In fact, the Netflix drama manages to flesh out the other Bridgertons as well as the main characters. Eloise, for example, has been one of the show's ultimate fan favorites since Season 1, even if she has to wait a few more episodes to get her own story.

With that in mind, it's not surprising that Daphne Bridgerton, whose love story we witnessed in the first season of the show, made occasional appearances in the second season. In fact, it was so natural that we didn't even notice that she opened Season 2.

Now that Anthony's story has been told, it would be perfect if he made a similar return at the beginning of Season 3. Maybe his fan-favorite wife Kate could also make an appearance to kick off the third installment. It could become a nice Bridgerton tradition for the former protagonist to open a new season.

Do you think Anthony and Kate will be the first characters we'll see in Season 3?

The New Viscountess Bridgerton

Obviously, there are a lot of ways this could be done - from a traditional carriage scene to having Kate involved in preparing Francesca for her social debut. After all, it's a known fact that 1815 will be Fran's first social season. And now that Kate is the Viscountess Bridgerton, it's her duty to introduce the other members of her large family to the Ton.

In that sense, the opening scene of Season 3 could completely mirror that of Season 2, when Daphne helped her family get ready for the new social season. Ultimately, we'll have to see if that's the case when the third installment premieres on May 16.
