Since its debut in 2021, HBO's The White Lotus has captivated audiences with its satirical portrayal of the rich and the vices of their lifestyle. As each of the show's two current seasons takes place at a different luxury hotel in The White Lotus chain, we are introduced to new characters in each episode. But there was one exception.

Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya McQuoid was one of the main characters in both seasons of The White Lotus, entertaining viewers with her hilarious demeanor. But since the character was killed off in the finale of season 2, Jennifer Coolidge won't be returning for the upcoming third installment. And apparently, the actress is not too happy about it.

Jennifer Coolidge Is Upset to Not Be Reprising the Role

Though Tanya McQuoid's death was the most hilarious season two finale of The White Lotus imaginable, it dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's in her storyline. So it was bittersweet to say goodbye to the fan-favorite character. But it was even more heartbreaking for Jennifer Coolidge, who fell in love with her character and is admittedly upset that she will not be returning for Season 3.

'I'm jealous of everyone that's going. I just want to stress [that] I'm not a good sport about it, but there's nothing I can do. When they kill you, you have to accept it. Because it means they're not calling for your costume sizes or anything,' Coolidge revealed in a recent interview. 'It's over! I have to get another thing. I have to make another thing happen, I guess.'

Only Good Memories and Expectations

Still, Jennifer Coolidge is very grateful to have been a part of The White Lotus. And despite her so-called jealousy, she expects a great third installment.

'I had a blast,' the actress said of her experience on the show. 'I think [season 3] is going to be good. There's going to be all sorts of good stuff in it, probably great sex stuff. You know how Mike White writes – it's never, never a dull moment. I think he's going to slay with this one.'

Anyway, we'll miss Jennifer's Tanya in the third season of The White Lotus, which is currently in production. Season 3 is currently scheduled to premiere in 2025.
