For instance, season 12 of NBC's hit drama Chicago Fire has just premiered, while CBS' flagship sitcom Young Sheldon is set to premiere on February 15.
In reality, the list of affected projects is much longer. For example, HBO's biggest shows are still dealing with the fallout from the strikes. This is certainly the case for The White Lotus, one of the network's most popular series, whose third season is unlikely to premiere before 2025. However, TWL's future doesn't seem so bleak after all.
Season 3 of The White Lotus Is Currently in Production
After the conclusion of the second season of The White Lotus, it was only a matter of time before HBO announced the show's renewal for a third run. However, it was put on hold due to the WGA and later SAG-AFTRA strikes that disrupted production. Fortunately, the third installment of TWL has been in the works since the end of the walkouts. In fact, new actors have recently joined the cast.
Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay and Arnas Fedaravičius are the latest additions to the incredible cast of The White Lotus Season 3, which includes Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Miloš Biković, Christian Friedel, Morgana O'Reilly, Lek Patravadi and Shalini Peiris. Furthermore, Carrie Coon of The Gilded Age fame is said to star in the third installment.
What Will The White Lotus Season 3 Be About?
Set in the eponymous chain of resort hotels, the HBO show follows the rich in their chaotic and mostly fake lives, full of lies, problems and sometimes crime. The first season of The White Lotus was set in Hawaii. Season 2 was filmed in Sicily. Meanwhile, the upcoming third installment will feature the lush scenery of Thailand.
It is rumored that principal photography will begin in February in Phuket and Bangkok, so viewers can expect a lot of locations and events related to them. However, no further details about Season 3 of TWL have been revealed yet.
