The Voice crowned its Season 28 champ in a no-brainer finish after a finale loaded with live coach performances—minus Niall Horan, sidelined by vocal health—while his team hit the stage with a boost from Reba McEntire and a string of powerhouse sets. Find out who took the crown after the show-stopping closer.

If you missed The Voice finale, here’s the quick version: big guest stars, a coach sidelined, a little team crossover, and a clear winner. Let’s get into it.

And the Season 28 winner is...

Aiden Ross, from Team Niall, took the Season 28 title. He walks away with $100,000 and a Universal Music Group recording contract.

How he closed the deal

The night before the results, the final six went through two rounds built to show range: one contemporary pick and one classic. Ross went modern with JVKE’s 'Golden Hour' and then swung to a timeless mood with ABBA’s 'The Winner Takes It All.' America voted, and that was that.

The final standings

  • Winner: Aiden Ross (Team Niall)
  • Second place: Ralph Edwards (Team Snoop)
  • Third place: DEK of Hearts (Team Niall)
  • Fourth place: Aubrey Nicole (Team Reba)
  • Fifth place: Max Chambers (Team Buble)
  • Sixth place: Jazz McKenzie (Team Buble)

The finale itself had a twist

All the coaches performed live except Niall Horan, who didn’t sing for vocal health reasons. His team still got their moment, and Reba McEntire jumped in with them for a bit of unexpected Team Niall support. On top of that, the show packed in performances from Zac Brown, Noah Cyrus, Khalid, Riley Green, and more. Busy night.

The moment on stage

"You're a really down-to-earth, lovely guy who's gifted. I wish you the best, bud."

That was Niall to Ross ahead of the crowning. Ross returned the love earlier in the show, thanking Niall for believing in him and saying the biggest lesson was pretty simple: enjoy the work and be grateful to be doing it.
