One coach benefited from the block button most.

With few shows to watch this fall due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, NBC's The Voice has become a source of great joy for many TV viewers. It's been a little over two weeks since the 24th season of the popular singing competition premiered, and so far, five episodes of Blind Auditions have aired.

There are two more Blind Audition episodes to go, not to mention the introduction of the new Cutdown format, and the coaches will have to fight hard to complete their teams for the 24th season of The Voice. However, their competition for artists will become even more challenging as John, Gwen, Niall, and Reba have already used their block buttons – occasionally without success.

Here's a brief recap of the season 24 performers the coaches used and squandered their blocks on.

Stee – Sugar by Maroon Five (Episode 3)

In the opening act of episode 3, this artist delivered a thrilling cover of the iconic song that earned him four chair turns and prompted John Legend to block Niall. While Stee's song choice was uplifting, he dedicated his performance to his late cousin, a huge fan of John Legend. Naturally, the contestant chose his team. Interestingly, Niall vowed to steal Stee at some point.

Rudi – You Don't Own Me by Lesley Gore (Episode 3)

As the closing act of episode 3, this contestant delivered a powerhouse performance that captivated Gwen Stefani. The other coaches took a bit longer to turn their chairs, with Niall blocking John – perhaps in retribution for Legend's earlier block. However, Horan's eagerness to have her on his team didn't matter in the end, as Rudi chose Gwen as her coach.

Jason Arcilla – Dreams by Fleetwood Mac (Episode 4)

This captivating performance surprised many viewers who didn't expect a man to have such a gentle, melodic voice. Although it garnered only two chair turns, Jason Arcilla's cover prompted Gwen to use her block on Reba, who turned her chair just moments after Gwen. With no other options, this artist automatically became a part of Team Gwen.

Brandon Montel – Hard Place by H.E.R. (Episode 5)

Yesterday's episode featured a host of talented performers, but it was this artist all four coaches battled over. However, only three of them had a chance since Reba was the first to turn her chair, blocking John Legend, to everyone's surprise. A humorous drama unfolded, but unfortunately for the Queen of Country, the contestant chose Gwen, likely due to her relatable pitch.

Episode 6 of The Voice's 24th season airs tonight at 8:00 pm ET on NBC.

Do you think any of these four will win season 24 of The Voice?
