The audience is longing to have it back.

It's been almost a month since the release of season 24 of The Voice and it's already proven to be one of the best seasons so far. Featuring a panel of veteran and new coaches who have great dynamics going on between them, it is most fascinating to watch. Moreover, the level of talent this season is impressive to say the least, with a whopping twenty four-chair turns.

So far, eight episodes of The Voice 24 have aired, including an episode of Battles during which the first steal of this season happened. Gwen Stefani took Tanner Massey under her wing after Niall Horan had let him go. So, in general, this installment has been very entertaining, but there's a single feature that it lacks all the same.

Celebrity Advisors

The Voice has featured coaches' advisors throughout its twenty-three seasons. In its twelve years on the air, the show has invited stars such as Sia, Alanis Morissette, Celine Dion, Michael Buble and Shawn Mendez to share their experiences with aspiring artists and help them get a taste of the music industry.

What's more, celebrity advisors often became coaches in subsequent seasons, so it's not surprising that many viewers treated the advisor position as an undercover coach audition.

Over The Voice's twenty-four season run, seven advisors became coaches in the following installments of the show. Some of these coaches are so beloved that you'd be amazed to learn that they first served as assistants on the singing competition.

List of The Voice's Advisors-Turned Coaches

  • Reba McEntire – advisor in seasons 1 and 23, coach in season 24.
  • Kelly Clarkson – advisor in seasons 2 and 13, coach in seasons 14-21, 23.
  • Miley Cyrus – advisor in season 10, coach in seasons 11, 13.
  • John Legend – advisor in season 12, coach in seasons 16-22, 24.
  • Jennifer Hudson – advisor in season 3, coach in seasons 13, 15.
  • Pharrell Williams – advisor in season 4, coach in seasons 7-10.
  • Alicia Keys – advisor in season 7, coach in seasons 11-12, 14.

New Trend

Thus, every season but the twenty-fourth had celebrity advisors. However, starting with season 23, there was only one advisor for the entire show – Reba. Now, The Voice seems to have dropped this feature altogether. Meanwhile, fans miss it dearly.

'It sucks they removed them. It was fun to see who they had picked. I was hoping to see Blake as an advisor at some point,' one Redditor wrote.

Perhaps, The Voice 24 has something else up its sleeve to startle us with. The next episode airs on 23d October.
