Fans are offended that the show's writers treat them as incapable of understanding basic things.

MTV's Teen Wolf became an instant sensation among younger audiences in 2011, as viewers really enjoyed the story of teenager Scott McCall's accidental transformation to a werewolf and loved following the show's exciting action scenes and interactions between characters.

Fans were also eager to discuss the future of the characters, shipping them off to each other, and congratulating the writers for making even the most unlikely romantic pairings a reality.

However, it seems that sometimes the writers went too far in proving that two characters would stay together for life, and one particular scene with Scott and Kira Yukimura serves as a perfect example.

In this scene, Scott and Kira talk about Stiles Stilinski, and fans really hated the way Scott discussed his friend behind his back.

For some inexplicable reason, he decided to tell Kira that, before Stiles met Lydia Martin, he was obsessed with his older flames, basically making it look like Stiles was stalking someone. While the point of this conversation was beyond the understanding of the fans, some of them realized that the writers were using it for one purpose only — to cement Stiles and Lydia's relationship as an endgame.

Basically, Scott just recounted the whole story of Stiles and Lydia, proving once again that these characters were meant to be together for life — or, at least, until the end of the show.

This made fans feel really insulted because the writers treated them like babies who need to hear the same thing told over and over again to finally understand it. What's more, most viewers didn't actually like Stiles and Lydia being together, so to see the writers not backing down from that controversial idea was also upsetting to many.

People argue that, in the end, the whole scene was ridiculously stupid and unnecessary, so it should have been left on the cutting room floor instead of making it to the episode that was watched by millions of people. Sadly, Teen Wolf ended in 2017, and now there's no way to fix or delete it.
