The Surprisingly Simple Tip Sarah Paulson Gave Kim Kardashian To Move On From Kanye
On The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian leans on All’s Fair co-star Sarah Paulson for blunt advice about finding love after Kanye West — signaling a post-divorce reset and an off-screen bond that’s quickly deepening.
Kim Kardashian got some unexpectedly thoughtful love-life advice from a very familiar face, and yes, it all happened on The Kardashians. On the November 13 episode, her All's Fair co-star Sarah Paulson called in with a little pep talk that was more therapy session than small talk. It was a very Hollywood crossover: co-workers on one show hashing out life on another.
Sarah Paulson plays friend and coach
On their call, Paulson basically told Kim: look, years of living on camera make you feel like you have to be unshakeable, always in control, never too vulnerable. That public spotlight can twist everything, including your marriage, and it forces you to manage how much of yourself you let people see. Paulson also gave Kim credit for fiercely protecting her kids despite the constant attention. Her nudge, though, was clear: stop hardening yourself just to survive the noise and leave some room for the next real relationship to actually breathe.
Kim agreed she has put up a wall to protect herself and her family since the divorce from Kanye West. And she was candid about where she is right now: there is still healing to do before she can really let anyone in.
Kim on dating after divorce: still a romantic, just not in a rush
This season, Kim has been more open than usual about dating. She admitted the longer she has been single, the easier it is to love the routine: her bed, her shows, her schedule. Sharing all that again sounds... less appealing. For now, she is fine narrowing her focus to the stuff that matters most to her. She is not looking to casually date, but she is not closing the door, either.
'I’m the biggest hopeless romantic and when the right person comes along, I’ll be so ready.'
Between work and the new Hulu legal drama All's Fair, romance can wait a minute. (Side note: that is the project where she and Paulson have gotten close.)
Single mom mode, even with help
Kim also talked about parenting on Zoe Winkler’s podcast 'What the Winkler?' and it was honest in a way that will probably rile up the comment section. She said that despite having resources and support, the day-to-day feels like she is doing it solo a lot of the time. The example she gave was the middle-of-the-night chaos — multiple kids in her bed, kicking, crying, everyone awake — the stuff that does not make it into a curated grid. She knows people love to say, 'But you have nannies,' which is why she does not bring it up much, but her point was simple: help or not, the responsibility lands on her shoulders most nights.
