The List of Every Detail We Know About Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 So Far

It's been a month since the release of Season 5 of Netflix's hit drama Virgin River, but fans are still buzzing about it. One of the show's best seasons to date, it saw the devastating wildfires that swept through the titular town, Mel's troubled pregnancy and the downfall of the local drug cartel. With so many fascinating stories to unfold, Season 5 also left many questions unanswered.

Fortunately, the released ten episodes aren't the only thing the new installment has to offer. For the first time in its five-year run, Virgin River will feature Christmas specials. Naturally, fans are looking forward to them.

Here's everything we know so far about the Christmas episodes of Virgin River.

There will be two special episodes following the beloved characters on Christmas Eve. Number 1 is said to be around forty minutes long. Meanwhile, number 2 will last just over fifty minutes.

Lots of Festive Activities

Christmas is a time of joy for many people, both fictional and real. The residents of Virgin River are no exception. After all the suffering they have endured over the course of Season 5, they deserve it as much as anyone.

'The holiday episodes are a little bit lighter, and we wanted to play a little more comedy after the weight of this season. It felt like, if we're going to give a holiday gift to the audience, let's make it a fun one. So part of what Mel and Jack are going through in those two episodes is like the scavenger hunt through Virgin River trying to track down the man who is her biological father. They're going from clue to clue,' Patrick Sean Smith, an executive producer of Virgin River, said in an interview.

So you can expect a Christmas tree decorating contest, a scavenger hunt, a tree lighting competition, lots of ice skating and a full Virgin River holiday musical performance.

Search for Mel's Father

Speaking of Christmas miracles, rumor has it that Mel has taken her fate into her own hands and will be scouring the town for her biological father. If she finds him, it will be the ultimate Christmas present for both her and the audience.

A Couple of Births

We've had our fill of Charmaine and her pregnancy over the last couple of seasons. It's been hinted that there will be some births in the specials. So it could well be that Charmaine gives birth to her twins. Wouldn't that be biblical?

Part 2 of Virgin River's fifth season premieres on November 30th on Netflix.
