The List of All the Taylor Sheridan's Movies & TV Shows – And Where To Watch Them
From Westerns to spy thrillers, we break down Taylor Sheridan's portfolio.
Taylor Sheridan has undoubtedly become one of the kings of the modern small screen in recent years, as well as a major figure in Hollywood. During his career, Sheridan has created far more than just Western series, as his track record also includes equally remarkable crime dramas and thrillers.
Let's take a look at the rich repertoire of Yellowstone's All-Father to date.
Movies
Vile (2011)
Available on: FuboTV, on-demand
Today, Sheridan is widely known as the creator of excellent Westerns, so it's hard to believe that his filmmaking career began with a horror movie. Vile is an incredibly brutal low-budget torture porn in the vein of Saw and Hostel.
What's remarkable is that Sheridan himself doesn't consider Vile his directing debut, saying that he simply assisted his friend Eric Beck.
Sicario (2015)
Available on: Tubi, FuboTV, Paramount+, on-demand
The 2015 action thriller Sicario was Sheridan's screenwriting debut. The film was directed by none other than Denis Villeneuve and starred Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and Josh Brolin.
Sicario's story is simple but effective: An FBI agent (Blunt) is recruited to take out the leader of a powerful Mexican cartel. She is assisted by a CIA agent (Brolin) and a former Mexican prosecutor (del Toro).
Hell or High Water (2016)
Available on: Hulu, on-demand
Sheridan's next screenwriting job was the first Western in his portfolio — Hell or High Water, directed by David Mackenzie. Starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Jeff Bridges, and Gil Birmingham, the movie follows two outlaw brothers who commit robberies to save the family ranch.
Wind River (2017)
Available on: Netflix, on-demand
Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen have worked together not only in the MCU, but also for Sheridan himself. In 2017, he wrote and directed the film Wind River, which follows USFWS and FBI agents investigating a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018)
Available on: Hulu, FuboTV, on-demand
Next, Sheridan went to write the sequel to 2015's original Sicario. The new story focused on Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro's characters, who once again find themselves in the middle of cartel wars. The movie was directed by Stefano Sollima.
Without Remorse (2021)
Available on: Prime Video, on-demand
Sheridan and Sollima reteamed in 2021 as writer and director for the adaptation of Tom Clancy's novel Without Remorse. The movie tells the story of a Navy SEAL (Michael B. Jordan) who avenges the deaths of his wife and colleagues on a Russian assassin.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Available on: Max, on-demand
That same year, Sheridan served as director, producer and screenwriter (along with Michael Koryta and Charles Leavitt) on the adaptation of Koryta's book about a boy on the run who meets a smokejumper while being pursued by two assassins after the murder of his father. The film features a stellar cast including Angelina Jolie, Jon Bernthal, Nicholas Hoult, and Aidan Gillen.
