Gen V is on the way, and some big stars are coming along for the ride.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting the release date for Season 4 of Prime Video's The Boys. In the meantime, they'll have some new Vought content to keep them busy. Gen V will tell the story of the students at Godolkin University, the fictional college founded by Vought International to train the next generation of Supes.

The idea was conceived by Eric Kripke, the showrunner of The Boys, in 2019 after the show's first season. Kripke's vision was to tell a true college drama with a twist: everyone has volatile superpowers.

We'll also see some crossover between The Boys and the new spinoff, with three characters confirmed to appear.

Congresswoman Victoria Neuman

Despite being the founding director of the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs, Neuman (Claudia Doumit) was revealed to be one of the worst Supes of them all: The Head-Popper, who appeared as an antagonist late in Season 2. And things got even hairier in Season 3 when it was revealed that Neuman is the adopted daughter of Vought boss Stan Edgar.

In Gen V, Neuman will be making the rounds on the presidential campaign trail alongside candidate Robert Singer (Jim Beaver). In the recently released final trailer, we see her on stage with a classic politician's smile.

Whether it is a brief cameo or a major role, Neuman's appearance in Gen V is sure to set up future conflicts for the boys.

A-Train

The former Fastest Man in the World, A-Train (Jessie Usher) represented the first time viewers saw Supes as anything other than heroes. In the now-iconic scene from the pilot, A-Train zoomed through Hughie Campbell's girlfriend and ripped her to shreds.

After a drug addiction, a heart issue, and a fall from grace, A-Train has teetered between being a hated villain and a sympathetic antagonist. Little is known about A-Train's role in Gen V, whether it will be as a major antagonist or a minor cameo.

The Deep

Perhaps the most despicable of all the villainous Supes, The Deep (Chase Crawford) was quickly introduced as a fan least favorite when he forced Starlight to perform sexual acts on her first day.

Deep attempted to redeem himself after Starlight publicly revealed his sins, generally acting more as a pathetic nuisance than a major antagonist. Like A-Train, little is known about his role in Gen V.

When will Gen V be released?

The series will stream on Prime Video, with the first three episodes released simultaneously on September 29. The next five episodes will stream the following Friday.

As with The Boys, Amazon didn't even wait for the first season to drop before announcing that they had greenlit Season 2.
