The Disgusting Trick Dogpool's Trainer Used to Get Her to Kiss Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine

Since its 2016 premiere, Deadpool has been notorious for its title character's tongue-in-cheek humor and extreme lewdness. If you need a reminder, Ryan Reynolds' character has some unconventional bedroom fun with his girlfriend, Vanessa Carlysle, at the beginning of the first film.

Then there are the drugs, violence, and gore in the Deadpool movies, so if you've seen them and liked them, there are few things that could shock or disgust you in the upcoming third installment. But Deadpool & Wolverine has managed to up the ante in a seemingly innocent but absolutely revolting way.

At one point in the movie, Wade Wilson's dog, nicknamed Dogpool, gives him a French kiss on the mouth, which you can actually see in the trailer. And as disgusting as it looks, the method used to get the canine actress to kiss Reynolds was even more nauseating.

Like the Owner, So Is the Dog

Dogpool is portrayed by the winner of Britain's ugliest dog contest named Peggy, a cross between a pug and a Chinese crested whose appearance is ample proof that she deserves the title more than any other dog. And Peggy's most disgusting feature is her tongue, which she used to gently kiss Ryan Reynolds in the aforementioned scene.

'Peggy has a tongue that, I don't know, looks like an old shoe that kind of hangs down. She's so sweet and so cute, but the tongue is [effing] revolting,' Ryan Reynolds described his canine co-star in a recent interview. 'She needed to lick my… She needed just to explore the inside of my mouth in a scene.'

The Worst Morning Ever

According to Hugh Jackman, who was standing right next to Reynolds in the scene, the dog was reluctant to taste Ryan's mouth, so her trainer, Jules, had to resort to all kinds of tricks to get Peggy to French kiss Deadpool. In Reynolds' words, she would just walk up to him and put all kinds of disgusting things in his mouth to trick the dog.

'That was salmon paste,' the actor revealed what finally prompted the dog to 'explore' his mouth. 'You know what, you haven't [effing] lived till you've had salmon paste on an ice-cold day at eight in the morning and then had about two pounds of Peggy tongue shoved down your throat and right into your uvula. I am surprised her tail wasn't just sticking out of my mouth and wagging by the end. We made it to sixth base, I mean, that was [effing] crazy! I didn't know you could lose your virginity again.'

And while the scene is short in the trailer, it's long enough in the movie to make your stomach hurt. So if you're up for that kind of experience, Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters tomorrow, July 26.
