Here it is, readers. The ultimate ranking of all The Wheel of Time Books.

The Wheel of Time, based on the book series by Robert Jordan, has become increasingly popular on Amazon Prime. While the books are brilliant, some are far stronger than others.

Here is the definitive ranking of all the books, from worst to best.

15. Crossroads of Twilight (Book 10)

Slow, tedious, and a massive departure from the tone set in the previous installments, this book seems the least favorite among the fans of the cycle.

14. The Path of Daggers (Book 8)

This one has been called out many times for focusing too much on introducing new characters, to the point where the plot becomes lost.

13. Winter's Heart (Book 9)

Another entry into the series that feels slow in pacing, only becoming exciting on the final few pages.

12. New Spring (Prequel)

Can a prequel be considered good when it feels somewhat out of place? But when you read it, you find that it begins to expand the universe and the timeframe for the overall story. It's not the best part of the cycle, but still an interesting one.

11. A Crown of Swords (Book 7)

This one boosts the speed of the story and takes the reader along for a thrilling ride that captures your mind and heart.

10. Towers of Midnight (Book 13)

Book 13 kicks things up a harder notch, reminding us, and the characters, what is at stake as we read.

9. The Dragon Reborn (Book 3)

This one threw us all off as our hero was suddenly given a rest and we started to see the story from the perspective of other characters. And it worked!

8. The Gathering Storm (Book 12)

The title of this one is a clue and a tease, and you can feel the storm as you read. A storm that threatens to destroy everything and everyone.

7. The Great Hunt (Book 2)

This one gives us a hint of what is to come and warns us that the first book barely scratched the surface of this vast world and the adventures to be had.

6. The Fires of Heaven (Book 5)

Ramping up the tension and throwing some new characters our way, this one is aptly named as it fuels the tiny fires that have been smoldering and now threaten to go ablaze.

5. Lord of Chaos (Book 6)

Chaos is the word, and not just in terms of the title character, but the story itself. We are thrown for more than one loop as we read this book, minds becoming blown a little more with each turn of the page.

4. Knife of Dreams (Book 11)

This one feels like a wonderful reminder of why this series is so good. The world Jordan has created and the characters within it are just so engaging, we can't help but be drawn in.

3. The Shadow Rising (Book 4)

We gain insight into the emergence of powers in this one and the secrets lurking behind it all. We are right there alongside our favorite characters as they struggle and grow.

2. A Memory of Light (Book 14)

The final book, and what a glorious way to complete this incredible series. Resolutions, shocks, and brilliance on every page.

1. The Eye of the World (Book 1)

There is only one book worthy of the top spot, and that is the original. Such a fantastic introduction to this world and its characters. It hooks you right away and hints that you are in for one hell of an amazing ride.
