The CW Just Released a New Charming Police Procedural With The Gossip Girl Star

Want the perfect work buddy? Call your little brother.
The CW has released a new police procedural titled Good Cop/Bad Cop. The idea for a show about sibling cops came from John Quaintance, who previously wrote the series Reboot and the movie Hot Pursuit.
The first few episodes are a nice balance between a cute comedy and a classic procedural, where the main characters have to investigate complex cases in each episode.
What Is Good Cop/Bad Cop About?
At first glance, the small town of Eden Vale seems like the safest place in the county. The crime rate is not only low, it's practically non-existent.
Detective Lou (Leighton Meester) scares young offenders by telling their mothers everything. But then the townspeople are shocked by news that two masked men have committed an armed robbery. Determined to get to the bottom of the case, Lou asks to be assigned a partner.
So Henry (Luke Cook), Lou's younger brother, returns to Eden Vale and becomes her partner. A few years ago, the family had a serious falling out, but now Lou and Henry will not only have to investigate an armed robbery together, but also sort out their own relationship.
Luke Cook is the Main Comic Star of Good Cop/Bad Cop
The show's funniest moments belong to Luke Cook's character. Henry is Sherlock Holmes and Dwight Schrute rolled into one: the former has a brilliant mind, good physical fitness and tactlessness, while the latter has an exaggerated sense of justice and a constant desire to surprise his interlocutor with a new trick.
The detective refuses to drink coffee during the working day – he doesn't want to be on duty under the influence of substances. And one day he even writes a scathing article for the newspaper, demanding that his father be removed from his post as police chief.
Good Cop/Bad Cop Is a Funny and Touching Procedural About Brother and Sister
In the first episodes of the series, the characters not only successfully solved several complicated cases, but also gradually regained the trust of a close relative.
Despite their differences and old quarrels, the brother and sister still love each other, and taking care of their loved ones is as important to them as their daily work. In the future, they will have to find a balance between work and family.
Meanwhile, the investigation of crimes will be interrupted by funny arguments and constant clarification of who is the best detective.
