Here's why we're dying to see Season 3.

Let's face it: Queen Charlotte didn't even begin to quench our thirst for Bridgerton. It was nice to return to Regency high society and meet Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury, but we want to see the Bridgerton siblings and learn more about their love stories. And we want that now.

While both Netflix and Shondaland are keeping any and all Bridgerton updates under wraps, including the premiere date for Season 3, the wait for news on Bridgerton is getting old, sending fans into a tailspin.

But even the darkest cloud has a silver lining. The good news is that when the new season finally arrives, it promises to offer a compelling and addictive love story that we can binge-watch and rewatch for months to come.

Addictive Polin

Bridgerton Season 3 is set to be based on Julia Quinn's Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. It will focus on the friends-to-lovers relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, aka Polin. This pairing already has numerous fans thanks to their irresistible storyline in the novel.

The outrage about the long break between seasons probably comes from the fact that the Polin story is so good and passionate in the book that fans just can't wait to see how it will be adapted for the screen.

There's no telling what details of the story will be changed, but we do know that at least one sexually charged and hilarious scene will be included in the series, and that's probably the most exciting moment in the book.

Steamy Carriage Scene

Those who have read Romancing Mr. Bridgerton will confirm that the carriage scene is crucial to the Polin story. It begins with Colin following Penelope to her print shop and realizing that she has been the infamous Lady Whistledown all along.

He then confronts her, and the two end up arguing in the carriage. The fight then turns into a passionate make-out session with lots of kissing, sexual teasing, and even a little dirty talk. It ends abruptly when Pen and Colin arrive at their destination, the Featherington house, half-dressed, completely unpresentable, and disheveled.

The scene turns from sensual to comic as the couple, having made themselves a little more decent, exit the carriage, and Colin proposes to Pen. His surprise words cause Pen to go tumbling forward. But she accepts anyway.

Even if some of the details are changed in the show, there's no doubt that this scene is going to be a masterpiece that shows in full glory what Bridgerton does best: mixing sensuality and hilarity.

And it's definitely worth the long wait, don't you think?
