Strap on a headset: The Boys: Trigger Warning lets you suit up as a Supe in a savage VR spin on the hit series, arriving in 2026.

The Boys is kicking the door into VR. A new stealth-action game called 'The Boys: Trigger Warning' is coming from Brazilian studio Arvore, with Sony Pictures Virtual Reality publishing. It lands in 2026. Pre-orders are already up on Meta Quest for $23.99, and you can hit the wishlist on the PlayStation Store.

So what are we actually doing in this thing?

It is an original story set squarely in The Boys world. You play a new character who stumbles onto one of Vought's nastier secrets during what should have been a normal family outing. It goes full carnage, you get forced into becoming a Supe, and from there you link up with The Boys to slip inside Vought and pay it back with maximum chaos. Think stealth when you can, fists and powers when you cannot, and the show's pitch-black humor running through the whole thing. Very on-brand.

Who is involved (and why that matters)

Arvore built the game in close collaboration with Eric Kripke, the TV show's creator and showrunner. This was not the usual licensed-game rubber stamp. The writers got in the weeds with the devs, helped shape scenes and characters, and even contributed dialogue. That opened the door to introduce new characters and villains while still keeping it all legit for this world. Arvore also had access to the show's production design, so you will visit places like The Seven's conference room and Voughtland, recreated with an eye for detail and built to be explored in first-person VR.

"They did not just review ideas; they helped shape characters and scenes with us, and even wrote dialogue."

On the tone and feel, Arvore says they leaned hard into what fans expect: big, absurd, often gruesome violence that hits differently in VR because, well, you are in it. They are also pushing a stronger narrative angle so you actually feel the fallout of Vought's choices. Expect plenty of environmental gags, social jabs, and visual easter eggs baked into the spaces you sneak and fight through. A handful of familiar voices are back too, which should help the whole thing feel like it belongs.

Who you will hear

Laz Alonso returns as Mother's Milk, Colby Minifie is back as Ashley Barrett, and P.J. Byrne reprises Adam Bourke. Jensen Ackles also shows up as a 'twisted interpretation' of Soldier Boy. Yes, twisted compared to Soldier Boy is saying something.
