The Boys Star Chace Crawford Joins Hulu’s NFL Series — Role Revealed

Chace Crawford is suiting up for Hulu’s NFL-set drama from This Is Us and Paradise creator Dan Fogelman, a generational family saga unfolding inside pro football’s inner circle. Plot details are under wraps, but expect high-stakes family drama on and off the field.
Hulu is quietly building an NFL drama with some serious ringers, and the latest pickup is a familiar face: Chace Crawford. Yes, Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl and your favorite problematic fishbro from The Boys is taking his talents to the gridiron... sort of.
What this show actually is (so far)
The series comes from Dan Fogelman (This Is Us, Paradise), and Hulu is keeping the full playbook locked up. What they will say: it lives inside the NFL world and tracks a generational family at the center of a franchise. That combo screams power plays, legacy drama, and plenty of boardroom stare-downs between game days.
Who is playing who
According to Deadline, Crawford is stepping in as the team's new General Manager. He joins a cast that already looked like a Sunday night lineup:
- Christopher Meloni as Danny, the head coach
- William H. Macy as Hank, the team owner
- Mandy Moore and Chloe Bennet as Hank's daughters (earlier chatter had Moore's character eyeing the ownership role)
- Sam Corlett and Tanner Zagarino as the sons in the family (both series regulars)
Behind the curtain (aka the inside baseball)
This one hails from 20th Television and Skydance Sports. Executive producers include Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, and Kevin Falls, with Skydance Sports' David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed also on board. Given the companies involved, expect glossy production and a lot of access to the sports world vibes, even if they never say which team this is supposed to be.
Where you know Chace Crawford from (and where you'll see him next)
Crawford broke big as Nate on Gossip Girl, riding that show all the way to its 2012 finale. More recently, he's been The Deep on The Boys, and he's set to return for Season 5. There's no date yet, but the Emmy-nominated superhero satire is expected to be back in 2026. He's also currently appearing in the second season of Gen V, is filming the next Super Troopers movie, and will pop up in the thriller Strobe from director Taylor Cohen, opposite Laura Harrier and Suzanna Son.
Bottom line: Hulu's NFL family saga keeps stacking talent, and handing Crawford the GM role is a smart bit of casting. If this ends up being Succession with playbooks, I am not complaining.
