The Boys is about to close up shop, and Karl Urban is not sugarcoating the final season. He says the show comes out swinging, cranks the tension immediately, and, yes, starts taking people off the board fast. If you have a favorite, start hoping for plot armor now.

Urban has been previewing a final run that wastes zero time. He described the vibe as building to a massive crescendo, the kind of thing that makes you read the script and think: they’re really doing that? He is not talking in abstracts either.

The final season of The Boys hits Prime Video on April 8, 2026 with its first two episodes, then rolls out weekly through May 20.
Production timeline
Filming kicked off in November 2024 and wrapped in July 2025. So, yes, they have had time to sharpen the knives.
