The 110-Calorie Dinner That Actually Fills You Up: Juicy Chicken Boats
Dieters take note: 110-calorie chicken boats deliver plate-of-pilaf fullness without the guilt — a slim, flavor-packed recipe set to become your weeknight staple.
Chicken breast has a habit of going dry, but not this time. These little chicken boats stay juicy, bring a cozy, dinner-level satisfaction, and still land at just 110 kcal per 100 g. The move is simple: tuck a fresh, creamy filling inside and bake it under a light cheese crust. Easy weeknight win, even late in the evening.
What you need
- Chicken breasts — 2
- Tomato — 1
- Hard cheese — 50 g
- Sour cream — 2 tbsp
- Herbs (dill, parsley) — a small bunch
- Salt, black pepper, paprika — to taste
How to make it
Rinse the chicken and pat it dry. Working lengthwise, cut a deep slit into each breast to create a roomy pocket without slicing all the way through.
Season the outside and the inside of each pocket with salt, pepper, and paprika. Be generous but sensible.
Dice the tomato into small cubes. Finely chop the dill and parsley. Grate the cheese and set aside half.
In a bowl, mix the tomato, chopped herbs, sour cream, and half of the grated cheese. This is the juicy part that keeps the chicken from drying out.
Spoon the mixture into the chicken pockets, packing it in evenly. Transfer the stuffed breasts to a baking sheet lined with parchment and scatter the remaining cheese over the top.
Bake at 190°C for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the top is lightly golden.
Why it works
The creamy tomato-and-herb filling protects the lean meat from overcooking, so you get tender chicken with a bright, fresh center and a subtle cheesy crust. It is low in calories, quick to pull off, and fills you up like a solid plate of pilaf without the calorie load.
