Jamie Tartt and Sam Obisanya engaged in a real-life soccer match.

On May 31, one of the most popular shows of recent years, the sports drama-comedy Ted Lasso, ended after three seasons. As the title character has managed to successfully boost the morale of AFC Richmond, giving his team motivation and a sense of connection to one another, Ted Lasso returned to America to enjoy his family life and new professional pursuits there.

But although the story has been officially wrapped up, neither the fans nor the series' team are able to let go of it yet. Recently, the Ted Lasso cast broke the fourth wall again by taking part in a charity event as their characters.

Jamie Tartt and Sam Obisanya, fan-favorite members of AFC Richmond, took to the soccer field once again! Well, that was actually Phil Dunster and Toheeb Jimoh who portrayed them in the series, and it was one of the most wholesome and emotional reunions ever.

The Game4Ukraine charity football match, organized by the United24 platform and world-famous Ukrainian soccer personalities Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, took place at London's Stamford Bridge stadium on August 5.

Many big names took part in the initiative to raise money to rebuild the Ukrainian infrastructure destroyed by Russian missiles and to help the affected families. Celebrities in attendance included Tom Grennan, Russell Howard, and Chelcee Grimes, athletes Antonio Valencia, Petr Čech, Joe Cole, Rachel Yankey, and many others.

Dunster and Jimoh were also among the participating guests. The former made a post about the event on his Instagram.

The teams, managed by FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger and Chelsea F.C. Women's Club Manager Emma Hayes, wore yellow and blue as the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The two Ted Lasso stars were on opposite teams, and their match symbolically ended in a 2-2 draw.

It's always great to see celebrities use their popularity as a platform to raise money for charity and reach more ears around the world. Of course, it was a very logical step for the cast of Ted Lasso, a series about football and a wholesome story in itself, to join the event and help to contribute to the good cause.

Even though Ted Lasso has come to a close and Jason Sudeikis denies there will ever be a sequel, we are hoping to see our favorite characters in real life again, participating in charity events and drawing public awareness to important issues.
