Ted Lasso Season 3 Keeley Prediction is Way Too Depressing
Fans really want Keeley to fail this season, but not because they dislike the character.
From the moment Ted Lasso premiered on Apple TV in 2020, Keeley Jones was seen as a perfect character, completely incapable of failure. Keeley was great as a model and even better at her job as a PR consultant for AFC Richmond, a position she won in the Season 2 finale.
And while fans adore Keeley for her great sense of humor and larger-than-life personality, they feel it is time for her to fail on Ted Lasso, as this is the only way she can blossom into something more than the always right and perfect supporting character. At least, it’s a shared opinion in a recent Reddit thread.
At the beginning of Season 3, Keeley is shown settling into her new job, and some fans are a little concerned that she might be using Rebecca as a source of inspiration for her approach to running the business.
While Rebecca is undoubtedly a great businesswoman, she owns AFC Richmond, so she can indulge in some pretty wild antics that Keeley might replicate without understanding that she is not in the same position as her friend. And that could be her downfall, as many fans expect her to fail at her job this season.
And that's not bad at all!
And this strategy of the writers proved to be a great success, as all these storylines were relatable and compelling to watch. That's why Keeley's image as an all-around perfect person hurts her so much, because fans suspect that a great redemption arc could really help her evolve into a truly great character.
“I’m just glad she seems to have some high stakes,” says Redditor Eganator88. “The entire first 2 seasons she was a famous model/gf of a wealthy soccer star/working for her Uber rich best friend. Now she’s none of the above and has people relying on her to make the right decisions to boot.”
So, the fans are really hoping that Keeley will fail at her job this season, maybe even get kicked out of AFC Richmond for good. But that doesn't mean her life would be ruined, because one thing Ted Lasso taught us all is that everyone deserves a second chance.
