Another TL actor says he wants to go on with his character.

Time flies, and it's already been a week since the final episode of Ted Lasso was released on Apple TV+. The feel-good sitcom, which served as a beacon of inspiration and positivity for four years, concluded on 31 May. But people want the show to go on, which is a testament to Ted Lasso's irresistible allure.

Now, Jason Sudeikis, the show's creator who also played the eponymous character, made it clear all the way back in 2021 that his plan was to only make three seasons. And yet, both the show's audience and actors want more.

Phil Dunster, the actor who played Jamie Tartt on the show, recently admitted his unwillingness to part ways with his character. He expressed eagerness to reprise his role in a potential spinoff, reflecting the attachment he has developed towards his on-screen persona.

Over the course of Ted Lasso's three seasons, Jamie Tartt evolved into one of the most well-developed characters, amassing a considerable fan base in the process. While early on, Jamie was a complete tool who behaved like a diva and created drama wherever he went, he then matured into a composed and sensible individual.

Moreover, Jamie demonstrated his worth as a loyal friend to the other characters, supporting and guiding them during their darkest times. Consequently, he has earned a special place in Phil Dunster's heart. In fact, the actor was so enthusiastic about playing Jamie that he proposed a potential sequel during an interview with GamesRadar+.

'Jamie starts a club in Jamaica or the Philippines, somewhere really hot, nice, tropical,' Dunster shared his straightforward concept with the outlet.

Regardless, so far, none of the rumours about potential spinoffs have been confirmed, despite Jason Sudeikis saying he was open to the idea of expanding the Ted Lasso universe. But then again, the show has only just ended. In the meantime, as we wait for a potential return of our favourite characters, we can revisit our favourite Ted Lasso episodes, all of which are now available on Apple TV+.
