Strictly 2025: Second Celebrity Voted Off — Find Out Who Took Their Final Bow

Curtain falls on a primetime favourite as another celebrity waltzes off the dancefloor.
Warning: spoilers for Strictly Come Dancing Week 3 results ahead.
Movie Week on Strictly is always a bit of a circus in the best way: big themes, big music, and at least one song choice that makes you do a double take. Week three delivered all of that, plus a clean exit for the first celeb casualty of the season.
How it shook out on the leaderboard
- Lewis Cope and Katya Jones topped the night with 37 for a caped-up Paso Doble to The Plaza of Execution from The Mask of Zorro.
- Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin landed 35 for an American Smooth to Sixteen Going on Seventeen from The Sound of Music, keeping them comfortably in the top three.
- Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer posted a solid 32 with their Salsa to I Always Wanted a Brother from Mufasa: The Lion King.
- At the other end, Ross King and Jowita Przystal scored 19 for a Paso Doble to the Thunderbirds Are Go theme. The judges were encouraging, but the numbers were not.
- Also in the danger zone: Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who sat ninth on the night with 26 after a Foxtrot to The Way You Look Tonight from Swing Time.
The dance-off and the decision
Ross and Jowita faced Balvinder and Julian in the dance-off. After the rematch, Craig, Motsi, and Anton all chose to save Balvinder. Head judge Shirley made it clear she would have done the same if it had come down to her casting vote.
So yes, it was Ross King who left the competition.
Farewells on the floor
Ross got emotional in his goodbye, thanking voters, the backstage team, the judges, and especially his pro partner, who he called a mentor, teacher, and carer. The man went out gracious.
'I have loved every single minute of it... I could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show.'
Jowita returned the love, praising his effort and saying the two of them did plenty of laughing and a bit of crying along the way. Sweet, simple, and very Strictly.
What’s next
Thirteen couples remain and will be back on the floor next week. Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday 18 October at 6:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
