ARC Raiders’ Cold Snap Update unlocks the Locked Gate Event on The Blue Gate map—this rare modifier sends squads hunting four security codes before keying them into the Gate Control Room by the Warehouse Complex.

ARC Raiders just slipped a nasty little surprise into The Blue Gate with the Cold Snap update: a rare map modifier called the Locked Gate Event. The premise is simple on paper and a headache in practice — track down four security codes, slot them into terminals at the Gate Control Room by the Warehouse Complex, crack open the Outer Gates at Checkpoint, and then sprint underground before everyone else cleans it out.

What the event actually changes

When the Locked Gate modifier is live on The Blue Gate, the map flips a few switches: Return Points are scarce, Raider Hatches are turned off, and your main job is to collect Security Codes. With fewer safety nets to bounce back, doing this solo is possible but not fun. Bring friends. Or at least someone who can watch for mines while you dig through junk.

Where the four codes are hiding

Inside the Gate Control Room you will see four terminals, each labeled with the zone that has one of the codes. Those zones are always the same four:

  • Ancient Fort
  • Raider's Refuge
  • Pilgrim's Peak
  • Reinforced Reception

Here’s the catch: the codes are Security Code key cards that spawn randomly inside searchable containers within those areas. No fixed spawn points. It’s pure loot RNG, and if another player grabs a key card first, it’s gone for you. Treat it like contested loot and sweep the zones methodically — buildings, crates, basements, houses, storage rooms, anything with a lid. Pilgrim's Peak has a bunch of lootable antennas that are worth checking too. Also, watch your step: landmines spawn during this event, so creeping around is smarter than sprinting.

Slot the codes at the Gate Control Room

Once you’ve got all four key cards, head to the Gate Control Room near the Warehouse Complex, roughly dead center on the map. ARC Units patrol the area, so roll in geared and ready. If you walk up to a terminal and the prompt to insert a code isn’t there, that means another player already fed that one into the system. When all four codes are in, the Outer Gates at Checkpoint unlock.

Gates open? Go underground. Now.

As soon as the gates crack, make for Checkpoint and drop to the underground section. That’s where the best loot and blueprints tend to sit. The Security Wing inside the Traffic Tunnel is especially juicy if you get there first. Blueprint drops are random, but this event does have an exclusive: the Bobcat Blueprint. And good news — during the Locked Gate Event it can come from any container, not just the underground area. So loot everything you can pry open.

Timing and a few final tips

The raid timer for the Locked Gate Event is 40 minutes. Budget your time between sweeping those four zones for key cards and cleaning out containers once the gates open. With Return Points limited and Hatches off, treat death like a progress reset. Teaming up makes the whole run significantly less painful.

Quick refresher on the game side: ARC Raiders is from Embark Studios, targeting October 30, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
